People came out in their hundreds on Saturday as cottages4you and Hastings Pier and White Rock Trust teamed up to lead the Jubilee celebrations in Hastings.
We gave our support to the pier by co-organising the event which used the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee as a perfect excuse to encourage people from the town to join us in raising much needed funds for its restoration. The day’s festivities were enjoyed by adults and children alike with a host of stalls ranging from food to ceramics as well as lively entertainment including music from local band, Dende Drummers. A special throne was even installed for the day, giving everyone the chance to get a taste of what it feels like to be the Queen!
Our recent research revealed that Hastings Pier was number five in the UK’s favourite piers despite its recent fate and together with the fantastic turn out for the jubilee party, it is a clear indication that so many people still hold the former seaside attraction dear to their hearts.
