Cottage of the week – Beach Bay Cottage

Located in the Outer Hebrides, the Island of Lewis is a unique holiday destination and – with the added benefit of our new Cottage of the Week – offers an equally exceptional holiday experience.

Set into the hillside just a few moments from the stunning white sands of Uig Bay, Beach Bay Cottage offers an unrivalled level of comfort and melds seamlessly with the surrounding landscape. The property itself is a stunning natural stone and turf roofed single-storey detached cottage that boasts an ancient neolithic design with breathtaking views.

The living/dining room boasts a 180-degree bay window with AMAZING (please note the emphasis!) views of the beach. If that wasn’t enough to make you fall in love then there are also patio doors to a stone patio, an open plan kitchen with slate floor, a two-person sauna, Jacuzzi bath, multi-fuel stove and three TVs with satellite.

We think that’s enough to keep you entertained for several holidays but if you can bring yourself to leave your property, you’ll find a wealth of activities nearby. There’s hill walking, surfing, kite surfing, fishing, golf, wildlife watching, boat trips (including to the World Heritage Site of St Kilda), diving, sea kayaking and cycling. If that’s worked up your appetite then there’s also a restaurant and whisky distillery within 550 yards and the local community shop is only 3 miles away.

We would say Beach Bay Cottage is ideal for special occasions – though it offers such a unique and beautiful holiday experience that just staying there can make any occasion special. And who needs an excuse to get away and have fun? If you’d like to book a stay or make more info please visit the property’s listing on cottages4you.
