Cottage of the week – 30% off Old Vine Barn, Norfolk

Normally we’d introduce our new Cottage of the Week with a little interesting fact about the property and area, and then launch into a description about what you can see and do with your time there. Well, the most obvious fact about this week’s featured property is that it is HUGE – comfortably sleeping up to 30 guests. And there’s an equally whopping 30% discount (over £1000!) off the listed price on a 3-night break from 26 August.

So you’ve been lucky enough to book the property for that date, and you’ve assembled 29 of your closest friends, family or work colleagues, but what are you going to do while you’re there? Relaxation is obviously high on the agenda: Old Vine Barn is furnished to a very high standard and boasts exposed beams and exceptionally large open-plan reception rooms.

The farmhouse-style kitchen/breakfast room has a vast granite island and worktops and French doors from the large dining room lead to a patio area and exceptionally large fully enclosed deck and a children’s play area. To make a stay even more relaxing, the owners are able to offer catering and housekeeping options. And if that weren’t enough there’s also shared use of indoor heated swimming pool (35ft x 16ft) and acres of private grounds to explore.

The surrounding area is equally rich with relaxation and entertainment options. Old Vine Barn is only 2 miles from the lovely market town of Diss in South Norfolk. There’s also karting, ‘Go Ape’ aerial assault courses, clay pigeon shooting and paint-balling nearby – which all sound like perfect team building / family bonding exercises!

More relaxing options include pamper days, which can be booked at the Aqua Sana Spa in Elveden Forest, or you can even contact local beauty therapists who will make home visits. You’re also ideally placed for exploring East Anglia, with the Suffolk Heritage coast and the North Norfolk coast all easily reachable.

Ideal for families, Monsters Indoor Playcentre, Banham Zoo, Bressingham Gardens and Steam Museum are minutes away. Further afield but definitely worth a visit are Dinosaur Adventure Park, Africa Alive, Ickworth House, Park and Gardens and Wroxham Barns with its shops, children’s fairground and petting farm.

As you might expect there’s much more to the property than what we can fit into this post, so if you fancy finding out more, then please view the listing on cottages4you.

If you fancy booking for the discounted 3 nights then please call give us a call on: 0845 268 1866.  Please hurry though – there’s only one break at this price!
