A good list. Doom Bar is fantastic. I'm not sure I agree with Adnams being on there, and you've missed a fair few doozies.. like Roosters, Hambeltons, Black Sheep and Theakstons. To name but a few.

Tricky to call though - and I suppose my amendment suggestions are all totally biased towards Yorkshire.. I note a conspicuous lack of Lancashire beers on there.

Mind you...

I'm travelling to the Forest of Dean when it warms up to see about staying there for Christmas with the family in 2013, so I'll be sure to have a look at that area.

Have you tried Anglesey if you are looking for a dog friendly holiday. We have a cottage there southstack cottage and find that the countryside is very friendly for dogs. Particularly on the mountain where we are as there are no sheep on the hills.
There are also great walks on the coastpath and dog friendly beaches all in all a holiday haven for dogs.

Great food at the Devonshire Arms in the centre of Grassington.

It's near Skipton, a great town with a market 4 days a week (!). Also nearby is Kettlewell a very picturesque village with three pubs.

Down the road (a mile from Kettlewell) is Scargill House, a remote hospitality centre including a spectacular chapel built in the 60s using Colombian beams. The centre welcomes visitors looking in at the chapel and you're likely to be offered a cuppa and some cake. The website for that place is the scargill movement (don't know if you're allowed to post links). I worked there in my gap year in 2003 and it was a stunning place to be whatever the weather!
