Get on your bike to north Wales

‘Get on your bike’ is the message we at cottages4you are pushing to those of you planning to book a holiday cottage in north Wales.

One of the best ways to discover an area is by two wheels, which allows you to ride away from the beaten track and discover hidden parts of your holiday location.

And it seems others agree with us, as £16 million of investment for Wales’s tourism has been announced, with £2.2 million of this going to cycling projects in the north of the country.

Part of the scheme includes creating a natural trail that links the Dee Valley, Corwen, Llandegla and Llangollen, which sounds like a brilliant idea to us.

The cash will also be used to boost mountain biking trails at Coed y Brenin, near Dolgellau.

Staying at holiday cottages in Wales could prove convenient for families taking a cycling holiday, as all their equipment could be safely and easily stored.

Visit Wales suggests you hop on your bikes and discover the Lon Las Cymru and Celtic Trail.

And don’t forget there are still events running in the cottages4you sponsored Pendle Cycle Festival. Find more info on our cycling blog.
