The Kingham Plough in the Cotswolds is an ideal place to sample some locally-brewed beverages, it has been suggested.
According to the Daily Telegraph, the pub, which also serves a range of tasty bar snacks serves the Cotswold Autumn Lager to thirsty visitors, which is brewed "just up the road".
The beer is not the only locally-sourced item available from the pub, which is located in Chipping Norton.
It offers Cotswolds rarebit – melted cheese served with sourdough soldiers – as well as sausages and bacon the chef makes himself.
The Plough might be an ideal spot for those staying in Cotswolds holiday cottages after exploring the range of attractions that are on offer in the area, as the news sources notes that Blenheim Palace, Hidcote Manor Garden and Batsford Arboretum are "all within easy driving distance".
Last month, the Wilts and Gloucestershire Standard reported that local Cotswolds produce has increased in popularity since the onset of the recession, with Stow Farmer”s Market seeing sales rise by up to 30 per cent on 2008 levels.
