A Norfolk pub has been singled out as one of the country”s best destinations during the winter months.
Writing for the Daily Telegraph, Sophie Dening noted that the White Horse in Brancaster Staithe provides a great combination of a "spectacular" location in the north of the county and locally-sourced food.
Those heading to the pub from their Norfolk holiday cottage to enjoy a pint and a meal will be able to soak in "uninterrupted views of the coast path, swathes of salt marsh and oyster beds" from its conservatory restaurant, where they will be able to tuck in to seasonal game, Cromer crab and Binham blue cheese.
It also serves mussels sourced from Cyril Sutherland, who lives five doors away – you can”t get much more local than that!
While enjoying a Norfolk holiday, visitors may also want to take on the Norfolk Coast Path National Trail, which was recently highlighted by Natural England as one route than people can use to burn off those Christmas calories.
